Nice phone, good sound, uses AAA batteriesI don't think as user friendly as the unidens. The menus are less intuitive for me at least.Accessing messages and remote use of the answering machine was much more straight forward with the uniden. No lcd on the answering machine. I especially liked the uniden 1580 series but since it didn't have headphone or belt clip capability it didn't work out.
The panasonic 6442 has both of those but lacks speed dials, almost a deal breaker, not sure just yet. The rep told me none of the current models have speed dial. Why eliminate speed dial?
The dect frequencymay be a step forward as far as security and interference are concerned but in my opinion the features and quality are a step back from the last generation phones.
As expensive as this phone is I expected great and got just okay. Still looking for the perfect phone...
