Panasonic DECT 6.0 2-Line Digital Expandable Dual-Handset Corded/Cordless Phone System Review

When I was using corded phones, I always used Panasonic because they were the best quality phone. Since then, I have been using 2 codless systems in my home with 3 or 4 handsets each -- V-Tech and Uniden.Both of these systems worked very well but were totally worn out.Naturally, I wanted the newest technology so I searched through the available Dect 6 2-line cordless phones and bought this one from Amazon (for $100 less than Best Buy).Everything was wrong with this phone.The caller ID didn't work properly on the cordless phones and I never saw who was calling.There is no speed dial at all.There is a very limited selection of ring tones, all pretty awful, and no way to set a particular ring tone for a particular caller.I found the corded phone very big and clumsy, but too lightweight to sit properly on my kitchen counter.The reception was bad, even on the corded phone.I could go on, but you get the picture.I returned this phone plus the extra handset I had purchased. I guess I will have to wait until some more companies come out with better cordless phones using this technology.
